“Are not flowers the stars of the earth?” - Clara Lucas Balfour

This quote is one I keep returning to and the source of inspiration for the art I have been creating in recent years. The influence of time spent in nature during the day and stargazing at night. While creating a series of tiny pots hand painted with the moon and stars, I knew I wanted to call my studio, Little Clay Moon.

Last year, after admiring for many years her botanical illustrations, I contacted Nicola Jones of Gooseberry Moon, to design my logo and branding. During the process I shared this quote and she incorporated it into the brand board that led to my beautiful new branding and logo. It was a joy to work on this project with Nicola.
